The Labour Infrastructure Forum (LIF) is a think tank focused on achieving Keir Starmer’s mission to get Britain building and growing again.

In recent decades, Britain’s inability to successfully deliver major projects - from housing to energy and transport - has held our country back.

From Attlee to Wilson, Blair and Brown, Labour governments have a proud history of modernising and rebuilding our nation in times of crisis. The British people have entrusted Labour with this opportunity once again.

LIF’s mission is to develop evidence based proposals - based on Labour values - that not only rebuilds Britain’s crumbling infrastructure, but builds inclusive growth, skills, and technological innovation across all communities.

Our mission

Our objectives

Spark dialogue between the Labour Party, those working across the infrastructure sector, and supportive voices from across the labour movement.

Develop evidence-based policy to support Labour’s manifesto commitments around the built environment, transport, planning, devolution, affordable house building, clean energy and overall infrastructure strategy.

Forge new connections and partnerships with others working in infrastructure, planning, delivery, and policy.

Be a supportive voice around government announcements - we know that taking on NIMBYs and the blockers will be a challenge!

Rt. Hon. Darren Jones MP, Chief Secretary to the Treasury speaking at LIF’s launch.
